Glossary about IBAN

In order to facilitate international payment processes, the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) was introduced. It is the official, internationally agreed system of identifying bank accounts which has reduced the risk of transcription errors. At IBANcalculator.net, it is possible to convert old bank account numbers into IBANs for 30 European countries.
After you filled in the open fields and pressed the button, for most countries the old bank account number format is validated first. This is to prevent typos from becoming expensive mistakes for you. Second, the tool calculates the corresponding IBAN using country-specific algorithms. The result is shown to you in less than a second. All for free!
The tool is available in Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
